Explore color possibilities from natural materials and how to create a color palette on paper at this 2-day workshop.
Saturday, March 15th from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, March 16th 10 am to 4pm at my studio located in the Kickernick Building - 430 1st Avenue North - Minneapolis - 55401 -Suite #250
You will learn:
How to prepare papers and work with wax resists and some chemistry that makes natural pigments possible as an stable art material.
Sources for color and the fascinating history from both locally foraged and international materials and how to process indigo and create a vat for beautiful blues.
The basics of creating a series of artwork with layers of color, working on multiple pieces at once and guidance to record and expand on your results.
Details
Once registered, you will receive an outline of the workshop and some reading materials to give you some basics as well as optional supply list. Paper, wax and pigments will be supplied, as well as tools to create artwork. This workshop is limited to 10 students.
