Laundry Line is is inspired by a springtime first of utilizing the clothes line to dry clothes.  It’s a celebrated experience with wind and early colors of the earth coming back to life.    It incorporates botanical pigments and dye on paper with a beeswax resist. Pigments include Japanese indigo, logwood and buckthorn berries.   Layers are created by submerging the paper into dye baths and the pigments are absorbed in the the papers' fibers- allowing them to take their own shape and depth.

The artwork is mounted on a hardwood cradle with an acid-free wheat paste and framed in a poplar floater frame with natural finish.  .  The painting is protected with an additional layer of wax and UV varnish.

Overall size framed is 17”h x 61”w x 2.25” deep.
